(STILLWATER, OK) – Within the past six months, officers with the Stillwater Police Department (SPD) have arrested numerous individuals for possession and up to aggravated trafficking of fentanyl. Throughout these investigations numerous people stated they received fentanyl pressed pills from Cord Moore. Most individuals stated Moore lives in the Edmond or Guthrie area and will not come to Stillwater in fear of getting arrested.
Investigations revealed that Moore was the largest fentanyl distributor to the City of Stillwater. A recent case with a confidential informant solidified everything known and shown that Cord Moore conspired to commit a felony of aggravated trafficking of fentanyl. SPD Special Projects Unit worked with the Payne County District Attorney’s Office to present charges on Moore.
Moore has an extensive drug history in Payne County and was arrested in 2016 for Trafficking Illegal Drugs. He was sentenced to 30 years to the Department of Corrections (DOC) and was released on August 13, 2022. Moore served 5 years in DOC custody and was given probation. The Payne County District Attorney’s Office was not in favor of his release.
Moore was arrested by Edmond Police Officers on March 18, 2023 for the Payne County warrant. He was booked into the Payne County Jail on March 24, 2023 on a $2 Million Bond.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
