Oklahoma State Cornhole Club Plays on ESPN

We all know about OSU football, basketball, and softball, but did you know that OSU also has a cornhole team? OSU currently has the largest cornhole club in the nation and has made it to the national college cornhole championship for 2 years. The club was founded in 2020 by Jager Pifer. In December 2021, they made their way to Myrtle Beach for the national championship. This tournament is broadcasted by the American cornhole League on Facebook and YouTube. Eight players competed in this tournament, but only the doubles team placed in the top 16. Flash forward a year later, and the OSU cornhole team is a force to be reckoned with. For the state qualifier, players Reid Palmer and Tyler Davis came in 1st place. In December 2022, the team took 12 players to Myrtle Beach for the national championship. Two doubles teams stood out from the rest. Jager Pifer, Aidan Hamm, Reid Palmer, and Tyler Davis got the privilege of making it far enough to have their games broadcasted on ESPN. In singles, Davis placed in the top 16, and in doubles Pifer and Hamm placed in the top 8, and Davis and Palmer placed 2nd overall after a loss to South Carolina. Overall, the team came in 2nd place.

The OSU cornhole club is an ever-growing organization with a proven track record of success. They hope to continue to grow their team, and take home more wins. They practice every Wednesday in the Colvin and invite people from the community to come to play with them.

The next goal for Pifer and the team is to make cornhole a D1 sport at OSU.
